Has anyone had any dealings with Tread Wright tires? Looking at a set with BFG carcassses. Prices are awsome, and off road mags give some great reviews.
Just wondering if anyone has any up close and personal experiances with them.
Thanks in advance!

Ray Gerber (former ROAV secretary) had 6 of the 235/85-16 's , and they were great. They were waaay cheaper than my Goodrear MTR's , and we had no problem keeping up with each other in nasty conditions.
He's currently deployed, but he pops on here every now and then, and I'm sure he could answer more questions.

That's great. When it's time to replace my MTR's, I'm getting a set of the Tread Wright's too.

HINT: push them for a discount if you buy a WHOLE set (5). They will come back with the free shipping. Hey....works for me!

Where are you in Unionville? I'm in Orange, and would love to see these in person.

I know the truck Rick. I just sold a red D1 with RTE lift, bumpers, and a rack. I'll be taking my wife's OME lifted D2 with ARB front and a Hannibal rack when she decides what she wants to drive.
A couple people can install a lift in a few hours if all goes well, if you want to save some $ I can lend a hand.

That's the one, you'll soon see a grey D2 there. Tipping a couple sounds good, we'll have to figure that out.

Well.....tires are AWSOME....BUT...one took 11 oz to balance and had a slight "hop". Called Tread Wright and they shipped a new tire on the spot..no charge. Arrived today and will be having it mounted tomorrow. Now if I can get the time to have all the crap installed....
The ones I ordered are the "Crawler", and came on bfg casings, load range "E". Also, I had the extra walnut/glass traction crap applied (hey...any help you can get...right?).
I will post pics when the cam on phone cooperates...or get some new ones tomorow with a real cam.
Laters!

interested to hear your impressions. Was thinking of getting a set of their 285 at's for summer rubber to run on alloys. FWIW I have a hop/out of round tire now with one of my km2's.

Doug, rotate the tire 180 degrees on the rim and balance it again. If that doesn't do it turn it another 90 degrees. That should take most of the hop out. Most installers do not understand tire matching.

Mike,
This is a 30k tire. Pretty sure its a belt issue based on the excellent care I have taken of them ......tire is full of dynabeads. @ 3-5mph on pavement you can feel that its not round.
