There are some other debits itemized on the expense report that are not seen in the banking records (at least not on first glance). Those charges are as follows.

$1551.09 Christina Roeschel

$57.72 Office Depot
$90.88 U.S. Postal

Total $3504.75

So I'm getting a grand total for MAR 2008 of $88,181.36, but that's not what the ROAV expense report reflects.

*the above itemization does not include donations to local rescue squads.

This year’s board has realized that the fiscal responsibility we have requires that we go outside of the club to seek professional help and with that in mind we have engaged an accounting firm to review our financial statements and make recommendations. Full disclosure of what is proposed by the accounting firm will be posted for the membership on the club’s forum as it becomes available.

Mike,

It has been over 6-weeks since you posted this. To date, there are no such recommendations posted like you said would be.

Care to follow up? Or is it safe to say you had no intentions to post these recommendations in the first place?

Okay, I think I am going to chime in in this one.

As you all know, I am friends with both side of the line.

We all know Dan C, never ask questions that he doesn't already know the answer.

Some of those questions I know the answer as well , but as a courtesy or respect to the BOD I have been keeping quiet, as well as a matter of courtesy or respect to Dan C, I found this post a necessity.

I know Mike is taking the hit as the President for answers that are not necessarily during his time or responsibility.

So I would like to re-iterate my suggestion ( the same I did to the BOD when I was a member of it so it should not be a surprise to anyone ) to explain in detail were the club has been, where it is right now ( yes with the Good , the Bad and the Ugly ) and most importantly where it is going.

I am certain that will correct any and all perceptions.

Having former BOD members posting things like " Thanks for the Ignore Feature " it is indeed poor representation to say the least.

Sorry if anyone feels offended, but clearly letting the air off the tires will indeed allow us to climb the slippery road ( if the analogy fits )

Thanks

Still nothing.

Any of the Board of Directors ready to admit to anything, yet? Fill the club in on what's going on? Or are club members not entitled to that information?

Hello BOD, If you guys are too busy with all the preparations for this years MAR I am sure we can get a group together to get some trail work done. I do realize that Willow Farm is what it is, but even then we still need to do some trail work to the trails we used last year. It would be fun to create a challenge course, like we have done in past years at Pearls, but didn't have the time to set it up last year. We still have the time this year to do it but need to get cracking.
We only have ten weekends left to get this done. If you take away the weekend for the Summer Rally it leaves you only nine weekends left. Personally I would like to help out but need a little heads up to arrange it in my schedule. I am sure that others are the same way.

Crandall,
Take this for what it's worth since none of the BOD's will talk to anyone. But, I heard through the grapevine that the Willow Hill land owner had purchased a new piece of property that he was going to allow ROAV to use for the MAR event. This property had some ATV trails on it but no real OHV trails. However, this property is off the table now.

If this is incorrect maybe one of these clowns will get off their high horse and reply to the members.

I am frightfully frustrated that these gentlemen ignore my churlish commentary. I long to be taken seriously yet find myself unable to comport appropriately. My inner demons taunt me so.
