Can someone fill in the general membership on what the Thursday (2/22/2011) telemeeting is all about and why the memberships votes are being challenged? It is my understanding that some votes taken at the Annual Business Meeting have been asked to be omitted from the tally, thus changing the outcome of Saturdays elections.

The newly elected members of the board of directors are trying to schedule a meeting as soon as possible so as to be able to announce this year's officers. A Thursday meeting has been discussed but not all of the board has responded as to whether or not they are available. A question was raised by a member of last year's board about the inclusion of 7 proxy votes in this year's election process from members who wanted to vote but could not attend this year's ABM. As is stated in Section 6 of our bylaws they are allowed and as such the votes have been included in the tally. Please see the link below for our bylaws:

Thanks
Mike

What was the outcome of the meeting? Do the votes stand?

The Thursday conf call was to choose this years officers. Since all of the newly elected board was not present @ the ABM it couldn't be done last Saturday. The election last week stands as Mike indicated above.
I'm sure it will be posted elsewhere but the 2011 officers elceted last night are as follows:
Mike McCaig President
John Keeney V. President
Gustavo Pagni Treasurer
Sparky Harcourt Secretary
I think this will be a great year for the club and hopefully we can hold events that reach the broad wants and needs of the membership. We will be meeting to get cracking on a spring rally shortly.

Agreed Doug, I look forward to the next Rally. The kind of mud slinging most people are members of ROAV for, has nothing to do with politics, its getting old. Time for everyone to move on-

Christina and I apologized to Daniel in person in 2009 after we took office about two years ago.
The event peaked at Pearls Pond some years ago. the last two years have been an overall success, more events and lower costs to the members. I am not on the BOD this year so I do not know what is being planned for the moment.

I apologize to you, Chuck, for the wind blowing today. I don't have much to do with it, but I apologize anyway. Perhaps you can make the best of it and fly a kite or something.

Has Sparkey finished typing the meeting minutes yet, or did his typewriter break?
