Many people have emailed me about the MAR, so I wanted to take a minute to fill the members in on our progress. We have spoken to Oak Ridge, and while we would like to return there at this point it is very expensive. With all the economic factors we are concerned about what a return there would cost as an event fee. We are still talking to them. At the same time there are two other properties the club has not used that are considerations. These are private properties that will need developing. Nothing is decided yet. I know that is a frustration for many of you trying to plan vacation time. As soon as we have a confirmed site we will let everyone know. Thanks for your patience.

It looks like the only rally this year will be the fall rally in October, location TBD. Your email calls it the MAR/ Summer Rally update but there is no mention of a summer event. Based on the fact that it is already mid-may is there anything in the works for a summer rally? Any chance of hosting a summer rally somewhere like The Cove or or one of these properties?

You are correct, I intended to mention both. We have no location for a summer rally yet. Pearls Pond is not availalbe to us. We would like to put on something later in the summer.

The summer rally at Pearls Pond last year was very nice. It's too bad it isn't available.

Chuck, Let us know how and when we can help. If we need to do any work weekends at a new location I will help plan them if you like. I know money is tight with everybody, including the club!

If anybody would like to do a summer trail ride at Shoe Creek or big levels I am sure that we could get something going. Laughing

Pearls Pond will be missed but the above two locations are both great ideas

Hope SOMETHING falls together while my Series is still running

I think that would be a great idea, we could cook out at the top of Shoe Creek. Can you pick a weekend and we can plan for it? Maybe 2nd or 3rd weekend in June? Anyone else interested?

For what it is worth - June 27 is better for me than June 20.

Definately interested.

My daughter Gemma's graduation is the 20th, so definately no trails for us that weekend! Would love to get out, though.

Why isn't Pearl Pond available to us? Have we done something wrong?

It is my understanding that Pearl's Pond is still available for ROAV's use, just not on the same scale as we have had in the past.

Mike - work with me, what scale is possible at PP? A colleague of ours has just finished putting on a custom, fully tubed front end on the 90 and I am looking to get into some trouble.
