I am a new member and live in old town Alexandria, VA. during the week and out in Winchester VA. during the weekend. I am looking for some Land Rover People to OFF-ROAD with.
I have a 95 Discovery with a 5 and a half inch lift on 34x12.50-16 super swamper LTBs, and a bad ass front bumper I made with IPF lights and I dont drive the rover every day so I like to have some fun with it.

It would be hard to find anywhere to park it in Old Town- my Defender doesnt fit into any garages- (SD rack is a bit too high).
Im pretty sure with almost 6" of lift and 34" tires....you would have the same issues.
Im in Alexandria also- I have a portafino red 97 D-90 SW, sans BA bumper.
Welcome aboard.

I dont know of any local trails- but there is a pretty big contingent of Rover and off road fans in the DC area. If you are on D-90.com you will see lots of NOVA folks. Also, a friend of mine (and fellow ROAV memeber) told me about mostlymetro.com/ - i signed up but havent had much time to get spun up on it.
I would recommend going to the Summer Rally if you can- the Spring Rally was a great event that was really well run- and the people that attended really are a good group of folks.

Definitely a good time, but it's also one of those places that brings to mind a quote from Dirty Harry "A mans got to know his limitations"
The trails there go from mild to stoopid.

I read on one blog that it went from "stockers can finish" to "competition grade rigs will be trailered away broken"
