Greetings!

Since giving up my Disco in 2001 (and the ROVA rallies that I attended with it) I've had the pipe dream of finding an old series truck.

I've decided that now is a good of a time any and am actively looking.

galen216 reminded me of this group and am I'm anxious to connect with fellow rover enthusiasts in Virginia.

Looking forward to seeing you guys on the trails...

Welcome. We saw quite a few good looking Series at Uwharrie this weekend.

Just a quick update - my search is over! A few weeks ago I imported (with the help of some and against the advice of others) a 1973 Series III.

Some quick pics here
www.flickr.com/photos/...tags/rhd1/

So far its been a joy - when running around Richmond I am stopped an average of 5-6 times with comments or questions. You can't beat that!

I'm getting a crash course in stopping leaks, but all in all it runs quite well and we are looking forward to the MAR this fall.

Thanks to those on this board and RN that offered assistance - very appreciative.

nice truck, who brought it in for you? The MAR will be a close drive from Richmond. Razz

I'm a glutton for punishment - I imported it myself. Its a worthwhile story to share over a cold one at the next rally Very Happy

Keeping my ear to the ground regarding the MAR - saw the announcement on the front page about the location, sounds great! This thing runs well, but more than 30 minutes on the highway will rattle your fillings out

Less than 5 minutes if you take it on I-295. Very Happy
