One of our Sponsors...Auto Cycle is bringing 4 Land Rovers to MAR for a Pick and Pull. You bring your own tools, find the part you need, pay them for the part. They tell me prices will be very fair. At this time they are bringing 4 D1's and 1 RRC.

They are also donating 4 gift certificates, so maybe you can get lucky during the raffle and use the cert right then!

OK, that would be 3 Disco I's and 1 RRC. Math skills were pretty sad this AM.

Any idea what color the D1s are...I am still thinking of replacing my crumpled fender one day.

(BTW, only a Land Rover event would have a pick and pull as part of the rally...)

Hopefully, after 3 days of bouncing over trails and mud there are not more "pick and pull" vehicles unintentionally added!

No idea on the colors, Ray. You can PM Neal and ask him. What's this I hear about you going to Jacksonville? At least you can hop over to Cherry Point or hang out all over the Crystal Coast. Better traffic than NoVa!

I'll hit Neal up-though the crumpled fender is growing on me truth be told. New job is the reason for the glorious return to J-ville, I found out about 2 months ago but had been keeping it somewhat quiet till we got through MAR. Guess it's close enough now that it doesn't matter. I'll move in Dec. About 6 months earlier than expected, but then again, its the Marine Corps...what do you expect?

To all of those who have ordered parts. I will be getting with the staff in Danville tomorrow and you should expect a phone call this week with the status of your order. I do not expect for the vehicles to be back in Danville until late Monday.

I also want to thank everyone who stopped by. We hope to help everyone throughtout the year as well as be back next year.

Thank you

Neal Brenner

This was a great addition to the event - and a totally unexpected last minute purchase helped me have a much better drive home.

I was all packed up Sunday morning at 8:00 AM and literally less than five minutes from leaving for Atlanta. Someone walking by pointed out that something was hanging from under my truck - a quick look revealed that one of my rear Bilstein shocks had snapped the lower mounting stud and it was hanging loose from the top mount.

Todd suggested that I take a look at the pull-a-part trucks to score a rear shock of some sort to keep the truck controllable for the 11 hour drive home. Luckily the Range Rover Classic had rear Bilsteins so I quickly dismounted one and paid Neal $20 for it and had one less thing to worry about on the drive home!

Thanks Neal!
