I have officially graduated from grad school and have decided it is time to restore the Series. I am looking for a D1 or RRC so that I have something to continue playing with you kids. I prefer something close to stock, not much more than a 2" lift and little else. Preferably a Disco, but open to anything.
I was going for Trevor Griffith's D1 but the wife wants something "pretty" at the same time, so no rusted junk boxes and no fixer-uppers. Anybody know of anything?

I saw that truck on CL. I really want to stay with a D1 or RRC. That truck would be too much for my wife to handle. I want her to be comfortable driving this truck also.

My RRC will be ready to sell before MAR.
with everything mentioned in the D90 add plus the following
NEW FUEL TANK
NEW TRANS COOLER LINES
NEW BATTERY
NEW TIRES (Choice of any Bridgestone or Firestone) in 265/75 or 235/85 if deal made before MAR... otherwise will recieve Bridgestone Dueler A/T REVO2 in 235/85R16
I have found that the vac advance is working properly but the problem the whole time was a weak coil... which has been replaced

Will Tillery just sold a friend of mine a '98 DI, and he told me he has another one with close to 113k on it for sale for $2750.

Galen -
You need to troll the Washington, DC Craigs list. A lot of the trucks listed in NOVA are not 'that' far from you in central VA and there are a ton of used mall crawlers looking for a new home. Very few are kitted for off road and very few have strayed from pavement.
I even found a neat looking truck in Crozet - charlottesville.craigs...07047.html

Already wrote that person and called them. I have been searching CL from NC to PA looking. Ebay and LRX too.
I am being quite picky for something clean with a decent history. I am in no hurry and will find something.
