Rovers for Rovers 2009 Crozet VA
May 2nd and 3rd 9am to 5pm.
I am pleased to announce the first event for the year for ROAV will be held in Crozet Off-Road Park in Crozet Va. This a private site with challenges for even the most modified vehicles. The park has been adding new trails for stock to moderate vehicles, but it is not designed for the novice driver in a stock vehicle.

The cost for this event is $45 per day for members. If you have not joined ROAV yet you can do that on site as well, dues are $20 for the year. Riders do not pay any extra, but they will need to sign a waiver.

Location: This event is being held at a private off road club here in Crozet. They have about 100 acres of trails, from the moderate to the absurd.

Lodging: they have graciously offered primitive camping on site for those that wish to tent-camp. Camper folks may contact Misty Mountain Campground www.mistycamp.com/ directly for options, from simple sites all the way up to cabins.

Registration: the registration form will follow here. You can print and mail it in, or you may register on site the day of the event by notifying me by E-mail in advance. I need E-mail notification no later than Wed. April 29. This event will be capped at 40 vehicles, so register early.

Tow trailers are fine, no extra charge. Driving instructions to the park are attached.

If you have any questions about the event please do not hesitate to contact me at president@roav.org

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Charlottesville Albemarle SPCA to fund spay/neuter efforts.

I'm sorry I'll be missing this one. I haven't seen Chris and Heather in quite a while. I'll just be getting back from two weeks on the road so this is out for me. Have fun, great location.

As of today we have about 17, but I expect that to change as we get closer.
I checked with the Crozet staff, and dogs are okay if they stay on a leash.

Chris (who runs the park) has said it is okay for camping on Friday night. I will try to run up there Friday evening and check in on everyone. Please remember there is no trail riding Friday day or night. they live in the middle of the property. Razz

Series broke down on me yesterday, rebuilding the carb tonight so don't know if I'll have it all sorted out by Friday. #@&!, really wanted to take it & wifey is reluctant for me to take her '04 in the rocks to play so it's iffy now.

Thanks to all who attended despite the threat of rain. I had a great time, and hopefully everything dries out soon in the garage. I will post pics to the gallery when I get caught up.

Man, I wish I could have made this trip! I've been so busy trying to be a full-time dad and working on too many projects (trucks, cars and house) it's hard to have any fun. Reminds of Prez Bush when he said "The days are long but the years are short."
